Macquarie University are urgently needing HSIE Business Studies placements for pre-service teachers across Sydney's secondary schools - especially in the North West, Inner West and North Shore.
The placements needed are:
Brief expectation of the placement:
Days 1 – 2: Detailed observations of students and class/school routines and policies. Lesson observations of supervising teacher, peers and other teachers.
Days 3 – 5: Teaching small groups of students and teaching part(s) of a whole-class lessons. Managing transitions from one activity to another as appropriate.
Week 2: Teach the equivalent of at least 1 x 80 minute lessons a day.
Week 3: To teach up to half the typical daily teaching load (i.e. the equivalent of 2 x 80 minute lessons) each day.
Pre-service teachers can also be supervised in pairs, the Supervising Teacher will receive double the remuneration.
